We currently have members from at least twenty different professions working to improve the status of women in Lenawee County, throughout Michigan, the United States, and the world.
Our local projects focus on mentoring, and service in the areas of youth, and prevention of violence against girls and women. Through financial support and voluntary efforts we:

Support the Catherine Cobb Domestic Violence Safe House

Serve on the Domestic Violence Advisory Board Task Force for Lenawee County

Offer college scholarships to students who have good potential, but require financial assistance

Honor women who have demonstrated a pioneering spirit
As a part of an international organization, Zonta works to promote the human rights of women and children as an integral part of universal human rights. We have a long-standing relationship with the United Nations and their programs such as UNICEF and UNIFEM. Through our worldwide efforts, we fund programs that enable women to achieve self sufficiency.
Zonta is a classified organization by its membership from a variety of businesses and professions. In order to qualify for membership, a candidate must be:

Actively engaged in a recognized business or profession, working at least half time in a decision making capacity

Willing to support the ideals and goals of Zonta
